I am currently running an experiment to learn about instructional design and technology. My aim is to find new ways to share my knowledge and learn from others. The course requires the set up of a site and pages therefore I am repurposing my current workpress site for the experiment. The course can be found on EDX: Instructional Design and Technology: Learning Theories.

My name is Jeanette and I am a director for domain architecture at adidas. This means I have a responsibility to ensure that technology-driven solutions actually meet the needs of our consumers, customers, employees and other partners…that we design and implement solutions that ensure profitability and longevity of our business. I am consumer-obsessed…obsessed with what it means to be human-centred (consumer-centric etc) and I like to learn new ways of thinking and gain perspective from others to see how we can change the world. I would like to say I have mastered many human-centred design concepts yet I am humbled by the fact that there are so many design skills that I have yet to master from others in different disciplines: humanities, arts, sciences, technologies.

My updated ambition is to work towards becoming a futurist, having located many wonderful resources and looking to democratize what a futurist is and how to become one. Being consumer-centric was not initially democratized and now it is – you have to be curious to find all the wonderful resources and the network of amazing people. I found social innovation communities have many answers – especially +Acumen that has some truly amazing partnerships with thought-leaders around the world.
